Anointing Vs Performance

A worship service should not be judged by how good the band played or how well the praise & worship leader performed. Instead, it should be judged by how lives were affected and blessed. Worship should be centred on Jesus rather than man. Any ministration centred on man can only be termed as 'performance', void of the total package of God's presence.

There is the place of performance but it has to be backed with the anointing. Sincerely, anointing makes the whole difference in a man's life and ministration. It is never about our skills or talents because what do we really have that wasn't given to us by the 'giver' Himself?

We therefore need to empty 'ourselves' of flesh and pride if we must experience the total package of God's presence and all of His fullness in our ministration.

I'd rather go for anointing over performance.

I'd rather be used by God to touch a wounded heart rather than perform and when service ends, it's over.

I'd rather be used to create a 'lasting experience' for a life time than for a day hangover.

So worshippers, what is your opinion on this? Don't forget to leave a comment please.

Remember your quota can be a blessing to someone out there.
