QUICK FIX?!

So many times, you and I have found ourselves in situations where we desperately needed direction for our lives. At such times, we wanted a quick way out due to our impatience and stubbornness and we demanded an instant response from God. What we did not realize is that God speaks to us in different ways and manners.

Casting back memories, I can recall a difficult situation I was faced with that led me to relentlessly seek just one word from God. I desperately wanted that one word, one word that I knew had the power to change and turn my whole life around. I was interested in a quick fix but God had other plans for me. His plan was to draw me closer to His word.

As I walked in obedience to God's word that I meditated on, I was able to get that one word for the situation. I then made the word my anchor and my daily bread, and dwelling in it daily led me triumphantly through the darkest and driest period I have ever experienced.

The word of God became a mirror that awakened in me a desire to imitate Him by praying for others, living a life of giving and encouraging others with scriptures.

The truth is that whenever we are desperately looking for a quick fix, it is because we have moved away from where God is, and going in search for what He does not intend for us. Whenever we do so, we will not get to receive the bounties He had in store for us.

Not only are God's plans better than the immediate solutions we seek, they're best for us. Therefore, the more time we spend meditating on the word, the more God speaks into our heart.

Consequently, it is key we stay in obedience to God's word to get that rhema for every trying situation. Never again should we strive to get a quick fix but instead, stay in the place of prayer and wait on God's word.

So, whenever you are experiencing any challenge, do not try to get a short-cut or try to fix it by yourself, thinking it is within your powers to do so. God has better plans for you and His plans are always better than you can ever imagined.

Remember, there is no short-cut to divine manifestation. We only experience it by daily and consistently waiting on God, in obedience to His instructions.

Be patient and wait for that RHEMA!!!
